The idea of this rug is perfect (able to machine was it) and was just what i was looking for. However, its not as pet friendly as they like to advertise. Within 4 days of it on the floor it started to develope snags from the fur-baby zoomies. Which is not covered under warranty- they advertise the pet friendly aspect but given that its woven and not a low pile rug (like most of us are use too) it's not durable/lifestyle friendly. The threads easily get pulled which ruins the rug. The company handled the situation according, which was refreshing. Unfortunately this brand will not be in another purchase for my household dt the fragility of it. Best for homes with no pets.
The Alma Scand is a gorgeous earthy grey colour. While it’s beige than I was expecting, I actually love it more in person! It’s a true “greige” colour with cream stitches around the edges, and warms up the room beautifully. It was purchased for a kid’s room and despite lots of trucks and dinosaurs running along it, the corners have all stayed perfectly flat, no snags or wear. I also tested out the liquid repelling and it worked, like magic! My test water and coffee beaded right up, leaving the rug nearly dry and no coffee stains left behind. I have the rug on a thin rug pad and it’s the perfect amount of low-profile cushion.
I also wanted to speak to The Rug Collective’s customer service: they have been incredible! They were able to help me adjust my order after it was placed, helped cover shipping duties that were applied afterwards (I’m in Canada) and have been incredibly prompt and kind throughout it all. Overall, a great experience and a great product. I’ve since gone on to order 5 more rugs of various sizes and patterns throughout my home—they’re that good!
This is my second experience ordering from The Rug Collective. My first experience was not a good one, but they ended up refunding me for my rug which I felt was an appropriate response at the time. A bit hesitantly, I decided to purchase another one. The second one I purchased (the Alma Scandi) is different from the first one in that it is a bit rougher of a texture than my first one, it’s still comfortable though, and has held up well so far. My first purchase was cut crooked and the edges were not squared at ALL. This one has squared edges, although it looks like the pattern isn’t quite centered. It’s not obvious until I look for it. Overall I am happy with my second experience purchasing a rug from this company and I would probably still recommend it to people. The price for a washable rug is the best I’ve found.
I love this rug more than I thought I would. It's so beautiful, and surprisingly super soft! A week after I had it, my kids spilled a bowl of soup on it. Yes, a bowl of soup. IT CAME RIGHT UP WITH EASE. No stain. No mess. :)
Love the rug! Not only is it stylish but it is practical for pet owners. One of my cats puked on it and it was so easy to clean. Also, my other cat claws it but none or the fibers come loose. :) After this rug I decided to purchase another for my living room.
Arrived quickly and had no issues with shipping. It's the perfect size and completes the room. I've totally tested the water repellent technology and it is no joke! Beads up and easily wipes away. It's very thin so if you want it to be more plush just get a rug pad but I have no complaints and I love it!
It’s such a nice rug. I’m so happy I decided to get it. It goes great in the kids area with an accent black wall we have. I will be buying more in the future!
I like our new rug! It’s the perfect size and the grey background color is perfect for our dogs. The pattern color is a dark Forrest green almost. It is very light and seems durable!
Came super fast. Wanted something that was easy to clean because my dog is always tracking mud through here, and has even puked on it, and the clean up was SO EASY. Highly recommend if you have pets. Rug is thin as advertised, but looks great. Also have one for our bedroom. Would slip around a bit if you didn’t have furniture sitting on top.
I came across the rug collective on Instagram and instantly was intrigued. We have an older dog who can’t quite hold her bladder anymore so we decided this was our best option. After a couple weeks of having it, the rug was finally put to the test. My dog had a little accident and it was so easy to wipe off and clean with no staining. If I could rate this rug even higher, I would!!

The rug is super good looking & very soft. It's got some weight to it & lays flat right out of the box. It has absolutely NO smell which is amazing (I hate the smell of 'new things', the chemical smell). Very happy with the purchase.
It is a nice rug but I am in the process of waiting for instructions from the customer service on how to return the rug. I believe it would work if you are placing the rug over the carpet however if you are placing it on the floor it will move and you won’t be able to keep in in place. It is very thin and doesn’t have any pad to keep it in place. I tried buying a rug pad but it still was moving.
